Did you know that to tackle the national property shortage, the government has promised to build 300,000 new homes a year by the mid-2020s? Whether they are houses, flats or apartments, new-build homes offer many advantages, such as personalisation, guarantees and schemes in place to help buyers purchase their new homes. We recently worked on a 14-flat new-build in Salford, installing everything from the lighting to the electrics.

What Did We Do?

We designed, planned and installed the electrical features of the whole building. Our work included:

Installation of a Wylex 15 Way Flexible High Integrity Metal Amendment 3 Cased Consumer Unit, which allows control of the lighting, smoke alarms, central heating, burglar alarm, kitchen sockets, general sockets and cooker all from one handy device.

Wiring and fitting of bathroom and kitchen lighting, which included water-resistant and energy-efficient Robus Golf Fitting lights.

Radiator installation in the living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms, providing warmth during the colder months.

Smoke and carbon monoxide alarm installation ensuring 24/7 monitoring, early smoke and gas detection, as well as resident safety.

Socket installation, with connection to the mains.

External lighting, providing safety and aesthetic value.
